Like many before me I have become obsessed with reading the Herculaneum scrolls. This has resulted in my PhD work in computer science at EduceLab at the University of Kentucky, and now in my current role as project lead of Vesuvius Challenge, a machine learning and computer vision competition to read the scrolls.
